Beef Stew

This is not a bland or boring beef stew. It is super tasty and makes your house smell delicious and reheats well.


Ingredients:
  • 2 lb package beef stew meat
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 1 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t ground black pepper
  • 3 Tb evoo
  • 8 cubes beef bouillon 
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 Tb ketchup
  • 2 Tb A1 steak sauce
  • 2 Tb worcestershire
  • 3 t dried rosemary 
  • 2 t parsley
  • 1 t ground black pepper
  • 2 bags frozen stew veggies (pearl onions, carrots, celery and potato)
  • 8 t cornstarch

In a gallon size zip lock bag, mix flour, garlic poweer, onion powder and 1/2 t black pepper. Add beef stew pieces, shut bag and shake.

In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook beef in evoo over medium heat until brown. 
Add water, bouillon cubes, red wine, ketchup, A1, worcestershire, spices, the two bags of frozen veggies and stir together.
 Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Dissolve cornstarch in 2 t cold water and stir into the stew. Cover and simmer 1 hour more.

 Enjoy! This makes approximately 6 or 7 bowls of stew.
